ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court on Tuesday handed over the arrested suspect in Fake Bank Accounts Case Jameel Baloch on a 13 days remand to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
As per details, accused Jameel Baloch was produced before the AC’s Justice Muhammad Basheer by the NAB. The anti-graft watchdog requested the court for a 14 days remand of the suspect.
Jameel Baloch is accused in illegal allotment of Bagh-e-Ibn-e-Qasim’s land to Galaxy Tower.
During the hearing, NAB’s prosecutor told the court that Galaxy Towers had land of 9436 sq. yards and another 17336 sq. yards land was allotted to it. The additional land was previously allotted to Ibn-e-Qasim Bagh which was illegally allotted to Galaxy Towers by Jameel Baloch who was then the deputy director of land accusations.
At this occasion, the accused told the court that he was forced to allot the land illegally by Manzoor Kaka. To which, the NAB’s prosecutor told the court the plot was the property of the former president Asif Ali Zardari and was confiscated on the AC’s orders in 1999.
Later on, the court remanded the accused for 13 days and handed him over to NAB’s custody.
