SEHWAN: The devotees gathered at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine from across Sindh and other areas on Friday morning protest the closure of the shrine after Thursday’s deadly suicide attack that killed over 80 people and injured 250 others. The protesters forced their way into the shrine by breaking the security barriers.
The shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalander was closed for the devotees and visitors following the Thursday’s evening deadly suicide attack. However, on Friday morning devotees from across Sindh and other parts of the country gathered at the shrine.
They protested against the closure of the shrine for devotees and demanded of the authorities to reopen it. The angry protest while breaking all security barriers entered the Shrine and continued their protest against the closure and the attack.
The protesters raised slogans against the terrorists. Rangers negotiated with the protectors and persuaded them to vacate the shrine so that investigators could collect pieces of evidences from the site.
On the assurance that the shrine will be reopened after investigators complete their task the protestors vacated the shrine.
