WASHINGTON: United States State Department Deputy spokesperson Mark Toner said that dialogues between Pakistan and India were vital for regional peace and stability.
While addressing the press briefing, Mark Toner said that negotiation between the two countries will decrease tension and bring prosperity in the region. He said that both countries will have to resolve all the issues through bilateral dialogues. The spokes person said that US trying to conduct dialogues between Pakistan and India.
Toner confirmed that Taliban and Afghan government held secret peace dialogues in Qatar and said that Afghan leaders wanted to resolve the conflicts through dialogues.
Earlier, a British news paper had revealed that Taliban and Afghan government held two phases of dialogues in Doha. Sources in Afghan government and Taliban confirmed dialogues in September and October.
