Dialogues With Opposition Can Only be Held Over National Interest: Firdous

ISLAMABAD: The special assistant to PM on information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan clarified on Saturday that government can only hold dialogue with opposition when national interest demands it.

Talking to media in Islamabad, she said that the opposition leaders in jail were using Maulana Fazalur Rehman as shield and government was not targeting any politician of political revenge.

Commenting over the economy, she said, “PTI government inherited debts from previous governments as they lent huge loans and left the country in the burden of loans but PM Imran’s policies stand the economy again.”

Pointing out friends countries cooperation, she said Pakistan thankful for their help in such a difficult time as the anti-Pakistan forces tried to push Pakistan into the blacklist. She said the government has taken a difficult decision to provide relief to the people.
