LAHORE: Following the deteriorating hockey situation in the country another shocking news for hockey fans as green shirts out from the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.
According to details, the International Hockey Federation (IHF) has not included Pakistani team in the pre-qualifying rounds that will start from June 15 in France. IHF took the step after Pakistan’s absence from pro-hockey league and the federation had also find Pakistan penalty of Rs 20.5 million rupees.
On the other hand, President Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has the stance that management is trying to include Pakistan for pre-qualifying rounds and, therefore, a letter is being written for FIH citing if the opportunity exists than Pakistan should be given chance to play pre-qualifying rounds.
He also mentioned that he will raise the issue before the government personalities and hope the issue will be resolved.
