Lahore (Sep 8, 2017): The district administration of Lahore denied permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to hold its public meeting on Jail Road, asking it to hold the rally at any alternate venue.
As per details, administration said that the would not give permission to block a main road of the city for an entire day.
The administration said that the party would be given permission for the power show if it hold it at nay alternate venue.
The PTI is holding a public meeting in connection with the NA-120 by-elections today on Jail Road of the city.
Despite the denial of permission, PTI is determined to go ahead with its plan to hold the rally on the selected venue.
The NA-120 seat fell vacant after the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister as a result of the Supreme Court verdict in the Panama Papers case on July 28.
A tough contest is expected between the PTI candidate Yasmin Rashid and Nawaz’s wife and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s Kulsoom Nawaz on September 17.
