Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the army interference in the politics of the country is unconstitutional.
Addressing a distinguished ceremony regarding defence and martyrs day at the General Headquarter (GHQ), the army chief said that he has decided in last February that the army will not interfere in the political matters.
The COAS said that if foreign conspiracy happens and the military remains silence over it is a major sin.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said through false and fake narrative disturbing unrest was created while senior military leadership was awarded with various titles.
He said that he wanted to move forwarded by forgiving agressive attitude towards him and army while he expressed hope that the political parties will also review their attitude.
The army chief said that tragedy of break up of the East Pakistan was a political failure instead of the military.
