Doctor Yasmeen Rashid was born on September 21, 1950 in Chakwal. She took her early education in Neela village. Yasmeen received MBBS degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical University in 1978.
Yasmeen received MRCOG degree from Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1989 and FRCOG in 1999. She obtained FCPS degree from College of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
Doctor Yasmeen Rashid tied the knot with Muhammad Rashid Nabi in 1972. Doctor Yasmeen had been serving in Rawalpindi Medical College, Fatima Jinnah Medical University and King Edward Medical University. She is one of the renowned Gynecologists in Lahore. Yasmeen is currently affiliated with Central Park Medical College as head of Genealogy department.
Doctor Yasmeen Rashid was President of Pakistan Medical Association since 1998 to 2000. She also performed duties as Chairman Task Force Women Development. She had been the president of PMA Lahore since 2008 to 2010.
Her father-in-law Malik Ghulam Nabi was a close aide of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and a minister in his cabinet. Doctor Yasmeen Rashid quit government service on the advice of her father in law and joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
She contested elections from the constituency NA-120 against the two-time former Prime Minister and received 52321 votes in 2013.
