KARACHI: The value of the US dollar continuously rising against the rupee in the interbank market on Friday.
The US dollar increased by Rs1.10 in the interbank market to reach a historic high of Rs154.
Following the rise in the interbank, the US dollar also strengthened in the open market with an Rs1.50 increase to be traded at Rs153.50.
The Secretary of Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) Zafar Paracha said the IMF’s demand for currency devaluation is the reason behind a continuous increase in the value of the greenback.
