MIRPUR: The earthquake aftershocks have continued to jolt Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)’s Mirpur city and other quake-hit areas on Friday, days after a tremor of 5.8 magnitude hit parts of the country.
The aftershocks sent people running from houses and offices screaming while special prayers have also been offered after Friday prayer.
On the other hand, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has also released a detailed report of quake-hit areas.
According to the NDMA report, at least 39 people died in AJK’s Mirpur and 614 others injured in the deadly quake.
In Punjab, one person died and seven others injured in an Earthquake, the report said.
The tremors devastated more than 450 houses and left many areas of Kotli without electricity, NDMA stated in its report.
