ISLAMABAD: Election Commission has reserved decision regarding Prime Minister Kissan Package, while Secretary Election Commission has said that there is no pressure by government on the Commission regarding Kissan package, adding that the decision to be made soon.
Chief Election Commissioner chaired Election Commission meeting, which was attended by all four Provincial members. Secretary Information and Secretary National Food Security submitted statements over Kissan Package. Election Commission, after reviewing all statements, reserved its decision.
Talking to media, Secretary Election Commission Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammed said that Information Secretary has submitted written reply over Kissan Package, while Secretary National Food told that Kissan Package is the part of Finance Bill, which is for the whole country, on which Commisssion reserved its decision over Kissan Package. Secretary Election Commission said that Supreme Court’s decision has been received. The schedule of Local Bodies Elections of Islamabad to be withdrawn today. He told media that members who did not submit their assets till October 15, will be prevented to work.
