ISLAMABAD: Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Wednesday has given the approval to import 100,000 tons of urea on an urgent basis to facilitate the farmers.
As per details, Finance Minister Asad Umar chaired a meeting of the ECC in which he approved to import 1 hundred thousand tons of urea to facilitate the farmers.
The strategy was discussed in the meeting to ensure the provision of urea to the farmers on the cheapest possible rates.
A grant of Rs 960 million for Auditor General of Pakistan, an amount US dollars 80 million for the Pakistan Re-Finance Company and supplementary grants for Punjab Rangers and Aviation Division were also proposed during the meeting.
The committee also discussed to provide grants to the nuclear regulatory authority, and other ministries including defence, aviation, finance, interior, petroleum and industry were proposed during the meeting.
The committee also reviewed the performances of utility stores in the country.
