ECC likely to approve ‘Ramadan Package’ on Apr 24

ISLAMABAD: Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) is likely to approve ‘Ramadan Package’ and imports of 300,000 ton urea during upcoming session to be held on Friday (tomorrow).

ECC heads would also consider revised summary to finalise formula envisaged for prices of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) while important decisions would be made including LNG imports and supplies’ mechanism, sources said.

Sources added that the committee could also approve tax reliefs over imports of necessary machinery and equipments for upcoming economic projects signed between Pakistan and China.

The sources also expressed fears to witness downsizing in utility stores’ corporation over non-approval of ‘Ramadan Package.’
