ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan has issued show cause notice to Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan for violating code of conduct and summoned on August 27 to give explanation.
It is said in the notice that if PTI chairman will not appear before the DRO, the issue will be forwarded to Chief Election Commissioner. Imran khan visited the constituency where ECP had issued election schedule. According to ECP code of conduct, President, Prime Minister, MNAs and MPAs cannot visit such a constituency where election schedule had been issued.
While PTI spokes person Naeemul Haque termed the notice as funny and said that ECP is unable to differentiate between public figures and opposition leaders.
