Islamabad (October 15, 2018): ECP has issued detailed about voters’ turn out of Sunday’s by polls.

Turn out for National Assembly seats remained around 28.31 percent, while it was recorded 35.71 percent on the provincial assembly seats.

On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered all successful candidates to submit details of expenses incurred by them in the by-elections 2018.

The successful candidates will have to share details of their election expenses with the electoral body within 10 days starting from today.

The returning officers, who have been issued instructions by the ECP, will inform the electoral body after successful candidates submit their details.After receiving the details, the electoral body will issue notifications declaring successful candidates.

Other candidates who contested the by-polls will have to submit their details to the ECP within 30 days.

According to unofficial results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan, PTI and PML-N have won four National Assembly seats each, while PML-Q has won two and MMA one seat.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, PTI has won six out nine seats, while ANP two seats and PML-N one seat of the provincial assembly.

In Punjab Assembly, PML -N has won six, PTI five while independents two seats.

In Sindh Assembly, PPP has emerged the winner on both the seats of the provincial assembly.

In Balochistan Assembly, BNP and independent have won one seat each.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has lost two vacated seats by Prime Minister Imran Khan in by-polls held on Sunday.Prime Minister Imran Khan won from five seats of National Assembly in the general polls, which include NA-35, Bannu, NA53, Islamabad, NA-95, Mianwali, NA-131, Lahore and NA-243, Karachi.

Prime Minister Imran Khan decided to hold NA-95 seat from Mianwali and vacated four seats, on which PTI faced defeat on two seats.MMA, Zahid Akram Durrani won the seat of NA-35, Bannu after beating PTI’s candidate, Maulana Naseem Ali Shah.Meanwhile, Khawaja Saad Rafique won NA-131 seat by beating PTI’s Humayun Akhtar.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY RESULTS

The National Assembly constituencies where the by-elections were held included NA-35 Bannu, NA-53 Islamabad, NA-56 Attock, NA-60 Rawalpindi, NA-63 Rawalpindi, NA-65 Chakwal, NA-69 Gujrat, NA-103 Faisalabad, NA-124 Lahore, NA-131 Lahore and NA-243 Karachi East.

A total of 370 candidates contested the by-elections on 11 National Assembly seats.

NA-35 (Bannu)

According to unofficial results, Zahid Akram Durrani of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) won the by-election with 58,068 votes against PTI candidate Naseem Ali Shah.

NA-53 (Islamabad-2)

According to unofficial results, Ali Nawaz Awan of PTI won the by-election with 56,664 votes against PML-N candidate Waqar Ahmed.

NA-56 (Attock-2)

According to unofficial results, PML-N candidate Malik Sohail Khan won the by-election with 125,665 votes against Malik Khurram Ali Khan of PTI.

NA-60 (Rawalpindi)

According to unofficial results, Sheikh Rashid Shafeeq of PTI won the by-election with 44,483 votes against Sajjad Khan of PML-N.

NA-63 (Rawalpindi-7)

According to unofficial results, PTI candidate Mansoor Hayat Khan won the by-election with 64,042 votes against Aqeel Malik of PML-N.

NA-65 (Chakwal-2)

According to unofficial results, PML-Q candidate Chaudhry Salik Hussain won the by-election with 98,364 votes against Muhammad Yaqoob of Tehreek-e-Labbaik.

NA-69 (Gujrat-2)

According to unofficial results, PML-Q candidate Moonis Elahi won the by-election with 61,723 votes against Imran Zafar of PML-N.

NA-103 (Faisalabad-3)

According to unofficial results, Ali Gohar Khan of PML-N won the by-election with 76,626 votes against Muhammad Saadullah of PTI.

NA-124 (Lahore-2)

According to unofficial results, former prime minister and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi won the by-election with 75,012 votes against Ghulam Muhiuddin Dewan of PTI.

NA-131 (Lahore-9)

According to unofficial results, PML-N candidate Khawaja Saad Rafique won the by-election with 60,467 votes against Humayun Akhtar Khan of PTI.

NA-243 (Karachi East-2)

According to unofficial results, Muhammad Alamgir Khan of PTI won the by-election with 35,727 votes against Amir Waliuddin Chishtee of MQM-P.

Punjab Assembly Seats

The Punjab Assembly constituencies are PP-3 Attock, PP-27 Jhelum, PP-103 Faisalabad, PP-118 Toba Tek Singh, PP-164 Lahore, PP 165 Lahore, PP 201 Sahiwal, PP 222 Multan, PP 261 Rahim Yaar Khan, PP-272 Muzaffargarh and PP-292 D.G. Khan.

KP Assembly Seats

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, voting process was carried out in PK-3 Swat, Pk-7 Swat, PK-44 Swabi, PK-53 Mardan, PK-61 Nowshera, PK-64 Nowshera, PK-78 Peshawar, PK-97 Dera Ismail Khan and PK-99 Dera Ismail Khan.

Sindh Assembly Seats

In Sindh, by-elections were contested on PS-30 Khairpur and PS-87 Malir.

PS-30 (Khairpur-2)

According to unofficial results, PPPP candidate Syed Ahmed Raza Shah Jilani won the by-election with 35,749 votes.

PS-87 (Malir-1)

According to unofficial results, PPPP candidate Muhammad Sajjid won the by-election with 22,654 votes.

 Balochistan Assembly Seats

In Balochistan, by-elections were contested on PB-35 and PB-40 constituencies.
