Islamabad (December 26, 2018): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday provided assets details of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda to Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP).
The ECP accepted the plea of PPP seeking assets details of PM Imran Khan and Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda.
The Commission provided the opposition party assets details of the prime minister from year 2002 to year 2018, while the federal minister’s assets details of year 2018 have also been provided to the PPP.It is pertinent here to mention that the PPP had filed a plea seeking assets details of PM Imran and Faisal Vawda five days ago.
Earlier on December 20, following the PTI move to file a petition for Asif Ali Zardari disqualification, Pakistan Peoples Party has also requested the Election Commission of Pakistan the details of PTI chairman and Prime Minister Imran Khan and other leaders assets on Thursday.
The PPP delegation comprised of Farhatullah Babar, Nafeesa Shah, Chaudhry Manzoor Hussain and Palwasha Khan met with chief election commissioner and requested details of assets of PM Imran Khan.“We have submitted a request for the details of the assets of PTI chairman Imran Khan,” Farhatullah said while talking to media after the submission of the petition.
He said that PPP was getting concrete evidence against the government representatives and soon after a reference will be filed against them.
Senior PPP leader said that PPP wanted accountability for all and accountability should be done under the same law.
