Islamabad (June 27, 2018): Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday has summoned details of voters from District Returning Officer(DRO) and Returning Officers (ROs) for printing of ballot papers.
According to the details, ECP has advised the DROs and ROs to submit details of the voters of their respected areas until June 30.First time in the voting history of the country watermarked ballot papers will be used in the elections, more than 2 billion rupees will be spent over printing of 21 crore ballot papers, said sources.
Ballot papers will be printed under the supervision of the Pakistan Army.
ECP Issues Action Plan For Ballot Papers Printing, Distribution:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released action plan regarding printing and dispatch of ballot papers for upcoming general elections to the four Provincial Election Commissioners, Pakistan National Security Printing Corporation, Pakistan Post Foundation and Pakistan Printing Corporation Press Islamabad.
Under the action plan, all the provincial election commissioners have been directed to get detail of the number of ballot papers from returning officers concerned and provide the same to the aforementioned Printing Presses by 30th of this month so that printing of ballot papers could be started at the earliest.
The Election Commission has also sent a letter to Pakistan Army for foolproof security during printing and dispatch of ballot papers.
