Islamabad (April 04, 2018): The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday resumed hearing into objections raised on the delimitation of the district Kasur and Battagram of the Punjab and KPK provinces respectively.
As per details, the hearing is underway at the Election Commission secretariat in Islamabad and a five member commission bench is hearing the case.
It is pertinent to mention here that a total number of 1286 objections were received on delimitation of constituencies by the election commission.

The highest number of objections were received from Punjab which were 706 followed by Sindh with 284 objections. The objections received from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were 192 and 104 objections on delimitation of constituencies were received from Balochistan.
The commission has issued notices to those who had filed objection on the delimitation process for today. It is pertinent to mention here that 11 objections were filed for district Kasur while five objections were submitted against the delimitation process in district Battagram.
The commission said that if those who had filed the objections would not appear before them then the issue would be resolved in their absence.
