Lahore (September 04, 2018): Ehsan Mani has been elected unopposed chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board.

No papers were submitted to contest opposite Ehsan Mani for chairman PCB slot. Ehsan Mani has became 33rd chairman of PCB. According to the laws of PCB, Ehsan Mani will serve as the chairman of PCB for next three years.
Ehsan Mani has also been president of ICC. Ehsan Mani represented Pakistan Cricket Board at ICC from 1989 to 1996.
A special meeting of the Board of Governors held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to elect chairman of PCB. The meeting was chaired by interim chairman PCB, Justice (retd) Syed Afzal Haider.
Nomination papers for the election of chairman PCB were to be submitted by 11:30 am, but no other nominee submitted papers except for Ehsan Mani, and thus he has been elected unopposed chairman of PCB.
Earlier, PM Imran Khan named Ehsan Mani as the new chairman of PCB, as former chairman Najam Sethi resigned from his post. However, after realizing his mistake, a notification was issued to make him a member of Governing Body.
