INGREDIENTS1 litre milk
1 tablespoon ghee
1/2 teaspoon saffron
4 cashews
4 black dates
1 tablespoon chiraunji
1/4 cup vermicelli
6 tablespoon sugar
5 almonds
8 pistachios
2 tablespoon raisins
1 teaspoon green cardamom
How to make Sheer Khurma

Step 1
To prepare this Eid special food, soak almonds for few minutes in water. Peel off the skin after a few minutes and slice them. Soak dry dates for few minutes and slice them. Slice all the remaining dry fruits and keep it aside.

Step 2
Put a sauce pan on medium flame, add ghee and let it melt.Step 3
Break the vermicelli and add it into the heated ghee on low flame. Saute vermicelli till it’s golden brown. Stirring it continuously is utmost important.

Step 4
Take a separate vessel or cooking pot to boil the milk and add sugar. Simmer the milk till its half in its quantity.Step 5
Add vermicelli into the boiled milk and let it cook for few seconds on slow flame till it becomes soft. Do not stir much else the vermicelli will not be visible.

Step 6
Add all the dry fruits and a pinch of cardamom powder in the end. Stir it for 5 minutes and switch off the flame. Serve hot sheer khurma in a dessert bowl and garnish with dry fruits to enjoy!
