Elections 2018: ECP to Print Watermark Ballot Papers

Islamabad (December 15, 2017): Election Commission Pakistan has formulated strategy for the printing watermark ballot papers to stop electoral rigging in the next general elections scheduled in 2018.

According to details a total of 191,901,777 watermark ballot papers will be printed for 97 million voters.Security Printing Company will not only print 98,000,000 watermark ballot papers but will also be responsible for importing the special watermark paper on which the ballot papers will be printed.

The Printing Corporation of Pakistan will print 50,218,746 watermark ballot papers while 43,617,509 ballots papers will be printed by Pakistan Post Foundation Press Islamabad.The three above mentioned printing presses will print 111,642,534 ballot papers for Punjab. Security Printing Press will print over 49.9 million ballot papers for 24.6 million voters in Bhawalpur, Multan, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Sargodha Divisions.Printing Corporation of Pakistan will print 50,200,000 ballots papers for more than 25.1 million voters of Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Lahore Divisions of Punjab while Pakistan Post Printing Press will print more than 12 million ballot papers for over 6 million voters in Rawalpindi Division of Punjab province.Security Printing Company will print over 48,693,000 ballots papers for more than 24.3 million voters of Sindh and Balochistan provinces while Pakistan Post Foundation Press will print more than 31,565,000 ballots papers for over 16.8 million voters of FATA and Islamabad.The National Security Printing Company Karachi will import the special watermark paper, which generally is not available in the country, from overseas under its own supervision.
