Eng Vs Ind T-20: Alex Hales Guides Hosts to Five-Wicket Win

Cardiff (July 07, 2018): Alex Hales’ unbeaten 58 took England to a dramatic win over India in the second T-20 international. Hales made 58 runs from 41 balls with four-fours and three-sixes.

England’s bowlers adapted well to the dimensions of the Cardiff ground to restrict Indian team, to 148-5.Chasing 149, England slipped to 44-3, but Hales led a recovery that left them needing 12 from the final over.

He then hit Bhuvneshwar Kumar for six, then four, with David Willey scoring the winning runs to level the series and set up a decider in Bristol on Sunday.

 After dominating weaker Australia, England were chastened by an eight-wicket defeat at the hands of India in first match of T-20 series, played on Tuesday.

Eoin Morgan, captain of England said in a statement that to get over the line has boosted our confidence. The momentum does ebb and flow throughout the game and the series.In response to Morgan’s statement, Indian captain Virat Kohli said that credit to England with the way they started with the ball, when you lose momentum it’s very difficult to get it back.

He also agreed to their defeat saying we had a good game but England were better than us.
