England Win Series By Thrashing Pakistan In Decider Match By 67 Runs

Lahore: England thrashing Pakistan in decider match by 67 runs led to win the seven-match series as well in Pakistan after visiting the country with a hiatus of 17 years.

England have won the seven-match series by winning the first, third, sixth and seventh matches while Pakistan won the second, fourth and fifth matches.

England actively attacked all the Pakistani bowlers which resulted into a huge target of 210 runs to the host Pakistan.

In chasing huge total set by England, Pakistan could only score 142 runs after losing 8 wickets.

Pakistan’s batting and fielding were so much poor that they dropped confirmed catches while no any single batsman from opener to middle order could set a pace for runs.

Opening partnership of Muhammad Rizwan and skipper Baber Azam failed as duo left for pavilion just only on five runs.

No any batsmen except Shan Masood could perform today and the green team batting line-up totally collapsed.

Baber Azam made 4-runs while Rizwan only scored a single run. Iftakhar Ahmed 16, Khushdil 25. Shan Masood was the top scorer from Pakistan as he made 56 runs.

Chris Woakes of England got three wickets by giving 26 runs.

Earlier England have given a huge total of 210 runs target to chase for Pakistan.

Pakistan after winning the toss invited England to bat first while the English players actively attacked the Pakistani bowlers.

The English team scored 209 runs by losing just three wickets.

Pakistani players fielding were very poor today as the green team players dropped three confirmed catches.

David Millan from England side played splendidly well as he scored 78- run innings.

The national team had brought four changes in the decider and could not make any difference with the changes as they lost the match with poor fielding and batting.

Wicket Keeper and batter Muhammad Rizwan, Khushdil Shah, fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Muhammad Hasnain have returned to the team in the final match.

On the other hand, Muhammad Haris, Hyder Ali, Amir Jamal and Shahnawaz Dahani have been given rest in the today’s match.

Security Layer Increases To Four From Three Around Qaddafi Stadium

Inspector General Police Punjab (IG) Faisal Shahkar had ordered to put the security arrangements on a high alert around the Qaddafi Stadium Lahore on occasion of last match of seven-T20 match series between Pakistan and England today.

On the instructions of the IG Punjab, the security layer had been increased to four from three around the Qaddafi stadium, Lahore.
