Sukkur (October 14, 2017): Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that everyone including Chief of Army Staff has the right to comment on the economy of the country.
Talking to media in Rohri area of Sukkur, he said that if Army Chief had any misunderstanding about the economy the government must remove it.

Shah was responding to Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal’s comment that DG ISPR should refrain from commenting on economy.
Speaking to media in Rohri, Shah said that there is nothing wrong with the army chief commenting on the state of the economy since he was the “commander-in-chief” of the army. A weakened economy means a weakened army, he said.Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Friday that Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) should refrain from passing comments on the country’s economy.
In a statement issued on Friday, the interior minister also said that irresponsible remarks can affect the international standing of Pakistan.The interior minister, who is visiting the annual meeting of World Bank and IMF, said it is unfortunate that he has had to answer to the comments made by people due to DG ISPR’s statement.
Shah said that PPP had settled the issue of Khatm-e-Nabuat in 1974 but Captain Safdar had perplexed a settle issue.
He said that yesterday’s incident in accountability court must have opened our eyes. He added that politics of abuse was in no one’s favour which should be shunned by everyone.
