EX Assistant Superintendent Jail Sentenced in Prisoners Escape Case

KARACHI: The former assistant superintendent jail among fourteen accused have been sentenced for six years in jail in prisoners escape from central jail Karachi case.

According to details, the hearing of the case of fleeing of dangerous prisoners from central jail conducted an anti-terrorism court on Saturday.

Announcing the judgment of the case court said that all the 14 accused including assistant superintendent Ghulam Murtaza and Abdur Rehman have been sentenced six years each and they were also fined heavy plenty.

It is pertinent to mention that on June 13, 2017, dangerous criminals of the banned outfit- Sheikh Mumtaz alias Faroan and Ahmad Khan alias Munna had escaped from central jail as a case was registered against the jail officials by Rangers and police.
