LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been taken to Punjab Insitute of Cardiology (PIC) from Kot Lakhpat jail for medical tests.
Nawaz Sharif was shifted to PIC from Kot Lakhpat jail amid tight security arrangements.
Sources said that a three-member medical board was formed for medical check-up of the former premier. The board will be headed by Dr. Shahid Hameed while other members include Dr. Sajjad Ahmed and Dr. Hamid Khalil.
Earlier on Monday, Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz in her statement said that the former prime minister was not feeling well. She also complained for non-provision of medical reports of her father so far.
Maryam said that Nawaz Sharif will be taken to Punjab Insitute of Cardiology (PIC). She said that they have submitted application to jail administration and interior ministry for receiving medical reports.
