ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday instructed the investigative officer of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the fake account case to issue summoning orders to accused if he wanted to investigate the person.
The IHC heard the petition annulling the arrest warrant of Shahzad Ali an accused in the fake account case.
The counsel of the accused Latif Khosa told the court that his client didn’t receive any summon notice from the anti-graft body adding that if the NAB called him he will appear before the court and requested the court to annul the arrest warrant.
The court asked the NAB’s counsel why he wanted to arrest him? while the court also reprimanded the NAB counsel that “you don’t know what to investigate during first 15-days of 90 days remand.”
” We allow you time to decide whether you wanted to issue summon or not. If you didn’t want to issue the summon notice first then the case will be decided on the merit.” the judge said.
