ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court on Thursday handed over Iqbal Khan Noori on a fourteen days remand to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for his alleged involvement with Fake Bank Accounts Case.
As per details, Accused Iqbal Khan Noori who is said to be a director of a private firm who is involved in business with former president Asif Ali Zardari’s Park Lane Company was produced before Justice Basheer of the AC.
NAB revealed before the court that the accused has a connection with a company which is allegedly involved in Fake Bank Accounts case.
The anti-graft watchdog also told the court that the accused acquired a loan from NBP and a private bank of Rs 1.5 billion. He is also been involved in earning money up to Rs 3 billion via other illegal means, added NAB.
To which, the counsel for Iqbal told the court that his client is a heart patient and should be allowed to meet with the family. The court, however, accepted the plea of the accused.
Earlier, NAB requested for a fourteen days remand of the accused which was also accepted by the court and court handed the accused on a 14 days remand to NAB and adjourned the case’s hearing.
