ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court on Tuesday issued a call-up notice of absent suspects in Fake Bank Accounts to Sindh chief secretary to ensure their appearance for the next hearing.
As per details, Accountability Court’s judge Justice Arshad Malik heard a case pertaining to the fake bank accounts in which former president Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and investigation of the case Muhammad Ali Abro appeared before the court.
During the hearing, the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) prosecutor told the court that a reminder was sent to the Sindh government for ensuring the hearing of all suspects. To which, Justice Arshad Malik said that if all the accused will remain absent in the next hearing we will issue a show cause notice to the Sindh government.
The court then ordered to issue a call-up notice directing the Sindh’s chief secretary to ensure the hearing of all the accused.
Deputy prosecutor general of the anti-graft body Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi told the court that two female suspects are willing to become approvers in the case and we are reviewing their applications. He also insisted the court to issue notices to the absentees. To which the defence counsel opposed the idea and said that all the suspects are already in jail for the same case so call-up notices cannot be issued.
The court then expressed anger over the continuous disappearance of the two suspects Azam Wazeer Khan and Nasir and issued bailable warrants of arrest of the said suspects.
The court ordered to produce two female suspects out of 30 in the case but after their agreement to become approvers in the case. At which, the court ordered the said women to submit their written statement and adjourned the case’s hearing till April 29.
