Fake Pir Defrauds Malaysian Woman of Rs2 million

GUJRANWALA: Police arrested an alleged fake ‘pir’ (faith healer) for allegedly conning a Malaysian woman into the fraud of Rs2 million, taken for medical treatment.

According to FIA deputy director, the faith healer Fayyaz was running the fake website with a name of ‘black magic’.

The Malaysian woman Azlena got in touch with fake pir after visiting his website to seek help in curing disease and handed over him Rs2 million for the treatment.

Azlena along with her Pakistani husband came to Pakistan to meet fake pir Fayyaz but he demanded more money for the treatment.

Afterward, Azlena lodged a complaint against him in FIA’s cyber crime wing.

Responding to Azlena’s complaint, FIA arrested faith healer and his son from their residence in Sanda area of Lahore.

FIA has registered case against fake pir Fayyaz and begun the investigation against him.
