Fakhar Zaman’s Double Century, Wishes from Cricket Legends

Web Desk (July 21, 2018): Pakistan Cricket Team’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman smashed a career-best 210, against Zimbabwe, in fourth match of five matches ODI series, and went on to become the first Pakistani player to score a double-century in ODI.

Fakhar Zaman exhibited an amazing inning, and became the first Pakistani cricketer to score double century, breaking Saeed Anwar’s 21-year-old record of 194, that Saeed cracked against India.

 Fakhar Zaman played the record breaking inning of 210 runs with 156 balls in fourth ODI against Zimbabwe, hitting 24 fours and 5 sixes.

Soon after winning the accolade of double-century for Pakistan with his blistering performance against  Zimbabwe, numerous local and international cricket legends took to Twitter to sent their best wishes and congratulatory messages Fakhar Zaman.

Former captain of National Cricket team, Ramiz Raja appreciated Fakhar Zaman and sent his wishes to young sensation on Twitter.

Pakistan’s former all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi also tweeted regarding Fakhar’s performance.

Former captain Mohammad Yousaf,  and  Saeed Ajmal also took to Twitter to felicitate    Fakhar Zaman  for his double-century .

On the other hand, International cricket legends also appreciated the young and talented left-handed batsman in their words.

Pakistan openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq added 304 runs for the first wicket, which is the highest ever opening stand in ODIs.

Pakistan thrashed Zimbabwe by a big margin of 244 runs in the fourth One-day International to secure the second biggest win in ODIs, behind the 255-run win over Ireland in 2015.
