ISLAMABAD: SSP Islamabad on Tuesday suspended SHO Shahzad Town over committing negligence in a horrific rape incident of 10-years-old girl Farishta case.
The SSP has ordered the suspended SHO sub-inspector Muhammad Abbass Rana to the safe city field office while the notification of his suspension has also been issued.
As per the SSP, the police have formed two teams to apprehend beast like culprit involved in the heinous crime.
According to the initial post mortem report of the infantile Farishta, the body is a week old while enough pieces of evidence have lost as the body has decomposed: the body also contained torture mark, however, final post mortem report will take three more days to complete.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Interior Ijaz Ahmed Shah had taken notice of the Farishta rape and murder case, summoning a detailed report from IG Islamabad.
Earlier on May 15, an 11-year-old minor named Farishta was found dead from Chak Shahzad town of the federal capital.
According to sources, Farishta belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mohmand Agency district.
The culprits abducted 11-year-old from Chak Shahzad town, raped the minor and then threw her body in a forest after murdering her, sources said.
On the evening of May 20, Farishta’s dead body was found from some distance to her home in a severe state which indicated the savagery innocent girl must have gone through.
Her body was later shifted to Poly Clinic Hospital of Islamabad for a post-mortem report.
Sources said that Farishta’s family had filed a missing report for her on May 15 in Chak Shahzad station yet it took the police four days to file it, at 8 pm on May 19.
