LAHORE: Farmers have called off protests in front of the National Assembly, demanding subsidy over gas, electricity and fertilizer.

Farmers, who came from 12 different districts of Punjab have demanded for the decreased rates of fertilizers, electricity and water. Potatoes sold by the farmers cost 4 rupees per kg, despite of the fact that the original price is 9 rupees per kg, so Government should set the prices to 12 rupees.
Protesters stated that the protests will be continued if their demands are not accepted and they will make their way towards Islamabad.
