KARACHI: Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar and Anees advocate on Saturday appeared before the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials in a probe related to establishing contact between RAW and local terrorists.
Farooq Sattar Anis Advocate reached the CTD Civil Lines office on Saturday along with his other associates after he was asked to appear before the counter-terrorism wing’s officials at 12:00 pm.
He was allowed to go inside the premises along with his two associates-Muhammad Akber Advocate and Syed Azhar Hashmi.
CTD probed the former MQM-P stalwart and Anees advocate after two of the party activists, Naeem Khan and Imran Ahmed, arrested days before had revealed during the probe that their contact with a RAW handler was established with the assistance of Farooq Sattar.
Sattar said that arrested persons have linked affiliation with him and he with confidence rejects all the affiliations with them while he ensured the law enforcement agencies that he is ready to cooperate with them in any regard.
On the other hand, Anees advocate said that the if he would never have returned to country if involved in any illegal activities adding that some stains of dirt had to appear on himself as he has been remained with dirt for 35 years.
He said that he recorded his statement with the investigation officer.
Both the leaders said that they have informed their point of view to the officers and assured further cooperation in investigation.
