Fatemi dismisses talks of Pakistan’s diplomatic isolation

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi on Friday dismissed talks of Pakistan’s diplomatic isolation and said that some people wanted to create differences between the government and armed forces.

While in an interview in ‘Tonight With Fareeha’ on Abbtakk News, Fatemi said that Sartaj Aziz held the portfolio of Foreign Minister and he was playing his role well.

He said that security forces continued indiscriminate operation against terrorists across the country. He continued that no one should be in doubt after Operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan.

Answering a question, Fatemi said that founder of Pakistan Peoples Party and then Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had not filled the slot of  Foreign Minister. He said PPP criticism was unjustified.

Fatemi said that India wanted to divert world’s attention from atrocities in occupied Kashmir. He said that Uri attack could be a reaction of Kashmir’s internal situation. He said regional stress will rise, if United States gives preference to India.
