Fawad Claims To Get Elected PTI Candidate As President

Islamabad (August 25, 2018): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry claimed that PTI was apparently facing no hurdle to get elected its candidate as President of Pakistan.

Talking to journalists after a meeting of the senior party leaders in Banigala today with Prime Minister and party Chairman Imran Khan in the chair.

“PTI enjoys the support of all of its allied parties, including Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam, Balochistan Awami Party and Grand Democratic Alliance,” he claimed.PM Calls Senior PTI Leadership At Bani Gala TodayHe said the name of Dr. Arif Alvi is final from PTI for election to the slot of President.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken historic decisions enabling the government to save millions of rupees within few days and these austerity measures will continue in future as well.

He said the government is committed to protect the national exchequer and generate new resources for the country.

The Minister said the meeting decided to launch two new PTV channels. He said one of them will cover sports excluding cricket, while another will be dedicated for children.He said the present PTV Sports will be rebranded as PTV Cricket.

To a question, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said the government has made Radio Pakistan and PTV independent in their editorial policies, and now the government is deliberating upon introducing a system to end the government monopoly on its ads.

He said the number of government ads will also be decreased.
