LAHORE: After back to back tons in Quaid-i-azam Trophy, Fawad Alam has managed to make his space in the national test team after a decade.
Fawad Alam with his excellent performance in Quadi-i-azam Trophy recently completed his 12,000 runs in domestic cricket.
He also smashed an elegant double century against Southern Punjab in the tournament. It was his fourth double century in first class cricket.Fawad have 32 centuries under his belt in 164 first class matches, seven of them were scored in national stadium Karachi.
In international cricket, Fawad has played three test matches and scored 250 runs with an average of 41.66 runs. Meanwhile, in One Day Internationals, Fawad has scored 966 runs with the average of 40.25 in 38 matches.
Commenting on Alam’s return to the side, Misbah said that he has been scoring runs in domestic cricket for the last four to five years and his current form can be worthy for Pakistan against a full-strength Sri Lanka’s squad.
The Karachi native, waited for a decade to make a comeback in longest format of the game.
Sri Lanka is scheduled to play a two-match Test series in Rawalpindi and Karachi.
