ISLAMABAD: The ongoing tussle among the managing director of state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) has taken a new turn with federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry as he termed the appointment of Arshad Chaudhary against the law and contempt of court.
The tussle surfaced during the Senate standing committee where both hurled sever allegations on each other.
Fawad Chaudhry alleged that Arshad Khan has become more loyal to his high ups and even could not enter his office and, therefore, he had recommended his quit from the office but with his close relation in PM house he kept himself stick with the slot.
However, on the other hand, MD PTV said that Fawad should talk to them who appointed him and at the same time he has challenged the information minister to approach the court.“I never in favour of nepotism and will never allow anyone to do same,” PTV MD vowed.
In his quick response, Fawad said that MD PTV was not only drawing Rs three million himself but also appointed to close aid on hefty salaries.
Later talking to media, Chaudhry said that soon new MD PTV will be appointed under the direction of apex court orders.
