LAHORE: Information Minister of Punjab, Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan has apologized from the media representatives today for his unethical behaviour on Tuesday (January 08).
While addressing media in Lahore, the Information Minister of Punjab said, “I apologize to anyone who got offended over my yesterday’s behaviour. My intention was not to hurt anyone’s sentiments.”
Fayyaz explained, “I was upset at that time as my wife was ill, therefore I may have offended some people.”
On Tuesday (January 08), Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan arrived at a photo exhibition held in remembrance of Ex-Chieftain of Jamat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed at the Arts Council of Lahore.
During Fayyaz’s media talk on the occasion, a journalist asked him about current Jamat-e-Islami Chief Siraj ul Haq’s claim that the contemporary PTI-led Government is only good for their hollow claims and haven’t taken any step yet that will lay the foundation for turning Pakistan into Madina-esque state.
Upon the asked question, Fayyaz chastised the journalists with gruesome words and then departed from the spot. Fayyaz termed the media ‘shameless’ for asking such question. This response of the minister also angered the journalists.
The media Representatives initiated a protest on the matter and also blocked the path of the Info Minister’s car on his way out.
