ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Monday refused the opposition parties’ request to change the date of the All-Parties Conference (APC).
A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) visited the residence of the JUI-F chief and requested to postpone the date of APC till June 30. The visitors told the JUI-F chief told the court that there is an important National Assembly on June 26.
The visitors said that the opposition parties are supposed to debate on an adjournment motion on the date of APC.
However, the JUI-F chief has refused the request and said that he has already sent invitations to all the parties and it is difficult to change the date.
Later on, JUI-F chief in a presser told that the APC will be held on its previously announced date on June 26. He said that a joint press conference will be held after the APC and a future road map will be presented.
