Lahore (October 28, 2018):Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that Nawaz Sharif will make a decision to attend the All Parties Conference after holding consultation with party chairman Shahbaz Sharif.
He further said that fundamentally, they do not think that the government is legitimate, as it has a ‘fake mandate’.
Fazal-ur-Rehman said, that there can be contention between political parties over political issues but the matters of the public take precedence.Fazl-ur-Rehman said that they are focusing now on the social and economic issues which the people of the country are facing.
Earlier today, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman met at Nawaz’s Jati Umra residence today to discuss the all parties conference (APC).
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman reached Nawaz’s residence to convince Nawaz to attend the conference scheduled to be held on October 31.PML-N admired the efforts of JUI-F chief and uttered that the APC’s agenda should be clear.
PML-N expressed the possibilities to send a delegation to attend the conference, however, the final decision regarding Nawaz’s participation will be disclosed later. The main agenda to call multi-party conference is to form a grand opposition alliance against Prime Minister Imran Khan-led federal government.
