Islamabad (August 11, 2017): Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Reham on Friday opposed repealing Article 62 and 63 of the constitution .
In an informal chat with media the JUI-F chief said that if Article 62 and 63 were repealed then it was be an attempt to push the country toward secularism.
He said that there was a need to interpret the said article. He added that Article 62 and 63 should be interpreted clearly.
The JUI-F chief, who is the ally of PML-N and had criticized and opposed the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif under the same Article, said that the articles of the constitution should be retained at any cost.
He opined if any law is misused it is not repealed rather the misuse of the law is stopped.
