ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday announced that the prize bond worth Rs40,000 will have to be registered under the government’s tax amnesty scheme.
FBR has also revealed that the authorities have received at least five thousand people have requested to disclose assets under the government’s tax amnesty scheme. The authority has decided to register the prize bond worth Rs40,000 which will increase the number of people applying under the government’s tax amnesty scheme.
State Bank of Pakistan is expected to issue a circular in this regard in the next few days.
On the other hands, the FBR has also sought the details of people frequently travelling abroad and those who are purchasing costly vehicles.
Meanwhile, the banks will submit their data to FBR till June 15.
Citizens can obtain their economic data from NADRA by paying a fee of Rs500 and the data of forty thousand individuals can be obtained from FBR’s website for no cost.
