ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday decided to take action against those provided wrong facts and figures of imported items and conducted under-invoicing.
Chairman FBR has given a clear message to the business community that they should avoid trading of smuggling goods, under-invoicing and providing wrong figures of the imported item.
He warned that if any importer or his agent found involved in the practice strict legal punitive action as per law will be taken.
Shabbir Zaidi said Pakistan incurred severe financial losses due to the trading of smuggling goods while it also causes harm to local industry and investment.
He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan also taking notice of the matter has directed strict action against the smuggling goods while customs has sped up enforcement actions in the implementation of the PM orders.
