ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is unable to trace 67 Pakistanis whose name was appeared in Panama Leaks as owners of offshore Pakistanis.
The FBR has decided to seek help from National Database and Registration Authority to trace those Pakistanis, who owned offshore companies and their names had appeared in Panama Leaks.
Earlier, the FBR had issued notices to 944 owners of offshore companies, which appeared in Panama Leaks.
As per details of the FBR investigations into the scandal, 68 owners of offshore companies featured in the Panama Leaks have admitted owning offshore companies.
According to the responses to the notices, some 15 owners of the companies have died.
Owners of some 31 offshore companies responded to FBR notice, saying that they were no more living in Pakistan.
The Board has issued show cause notices to the owners of 29 offshore companies.
