OKARA: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday served notice to a truck driver here in Okara after a transaction of Rs20 million was reportedly done in his action.
In the notice, truck driver Mohammad Tahir, who is a resident of Alipur area of Okara, has been asked to pay tax on it and cite the source of transacted money within next 15 days.
On the other hand, Tahir has claimed that he is a poor person who has never opened any bank account.
“I’m a poor truck driver. How can I do transaction when I have never got a bank account opened in my entire life?”, he said.
Tahir also requested pertaining authorities to take notice of the affair and initiate action against the ones responsible.
