Federation Raises Objection On SC Bench Hearing Talha Haroon Case

Islamabad: Federal government has raised an objection over a number of bench members in Supreme Court hearing the Talha Haroon handing over to the USA in the times square attack case.

The SC two member bench headed by Justice Musher Alam heard the petition against the verdict of the IHC for handing over of Talha Harron to the USA in the charges of attacking times square in New York.

Additional Attorney General Sajid Ilyas Bhathi raising objections over the two members bench said that divisional bench of the IHC had heard the case adding that a three member bench of the SC should hear the case.

To which the court sent the matter to the Chief Justice for formation of larger bench.

On previous hearing, the head of the bench Justice Musher Alam had asked to submit a record of handing over of accused.

While the court had also asked to submit an agreement between Pakistan and the USA for handing over of the convicts in the last hearing.
