FIA Seeks Funds for Kartarpur Corridor Uplift, Operationalization

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has demanded funds from the federal government of Rs 280 million for the development and operationalization of the Kartarpur Corridor.

Through its letter to the interior ministry, FIA sought funds and men power as well for the immigration of Sikh pilgrims and development of the Kartarpur Corridor.

“Rs 143 million are required for men power in immigration process while Rs 137.5 million funds needed for the operationalization and development equipment,” it stated adding that a deputy director, four assistance directors, five inspectors, 165 constables and 284 personnel also required.

The FIA letter also mentioned that Rs 12 million requires for monthly salaries of the personnel that means 143 million annually, IT infrastructure will require Rs 40 million and transport needs Rs 10 million.
