FIFA WC 2018: Three Matches Scheduled Today

Web Desk (June 21, 2018): In FIFA World Cup, Portugal beats Morocco while Uruguay defeated Saudi Arabia, both by 1-0 each. In the last match of yesternight, Spain took over Iran with 1-0. Three matches are scheduled to be played today.The first match today in FIFA world cup will be played be between teams of group C. Denmark and Australia will be competing today, at 5 pm PST.The second encounter of today will be seen between teams of group C as well and is scheduled to start at 8 pm PST . France and Peru will be challenging each other at Ekaterinburg Arena.Whereas, the third pair of challengers will be from group D, Argentina and Croatia will be competing each other at 11 pm PST at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.

Yesterday, Portugal got another spectacular goal from Cristiano Ronaldo and eliminated Morocco from the World Cup. Morocco, which was unlucky to lose to Iran in its opener, played aggressive, attacking soccer but could not get the goal that could have kept them alive.

Whereas, Luis Suarez goal eliminate Saudi Arabia with a 1-0 win. Suarez’s goal was not amazing, but it did the trick.The goal put Uruguay second in Group A with a maximum six points behind hosts Russia.Saudi Arabia, who have not won a World Cup game since their debut in 1994, have zero points, just like Egypt, who lost 3-1 to Russia on Tuesday.Uruguay’s Edinson Cavani wasted a chance in the 14th minute, skying a half volley over the bar. The stadium burst into life in the 23rd minute however, when an unmarked Suarez coolly tapped into an empty net from a corner kick after keeper Al-Owais came out but misjudged his jump and couldn’t reach the ball.In the last match yesterday, Spain have won for the first time at this World Cup, beating Iran 1-0 in Kazan. As a result the 2010 winners are level with Portugal at the top of the group, having drawn 3-3 with their Iberian neighbours on Friday. Spain conclude their Group B campaign next Monday against eliminated Morocco in Kaliningrad. Iran will simultaneously play Portugal in Saransk.
