KARACHI: Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi has demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to form a special sugar inquiry committee for Sindh.
Addressing a presser in Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader said that PPP leaders speak untruth.
Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that 18 out of total sugar mills in Sindh 38 are owned by PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and omni group adding that many owners of the sugar mills on the pressure of Chief Minister Sindh sold their sugar mills.
He said that the Sindh government gave a subsidy of Rs 2000 Million to sugar mills. The PTI leader said that the omni group which started from six units has owned 83 units now.
He said that they will eat away Sindh Bank and the people of Sindh are fed up with their looting and there is no difference of procedure in the founder of MQM and PPP.
Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that the Thatha sugar mill was provided Rs 1000 million loans for the purpose of PMR where no other single screw was installed.
The Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly demanded the governor state bank of Pakistan to conduct an audit of the Sindh bank adding that there is an urgent need for imposing financial emergency in the province otherwise the thief will continue stealing.
